Описание: Мат приходит к очередному клиенту, который раза в три старше его. Подсовывает ему снотворное, тот быстро отрубается. Потом в его огромные апартаменты вваливается вся тусовка Мата и устраивает там дебош, вытворяя разное с валяющимся на полу телом хозяина. Под утро, когда все уже разошлись, кто-то из оставшихся очищает его карманы, а потом втыкает в его спину кусок стекла. Это еще одно свидетельство зеркальных, жесточайших отношений молодости и старости, которые Кларк никогда прежде не исследовал столь рьяно и отчетливо. Кажется, его юных и пожилых героев действительно отличает лишь разница в возрасте (которая никогда не бывает фатальной), и ничего больше. Во всем остальном они равны. Фатальна, неистребима сама молодость, и человек (по Кларку) в каком-то смысле всегда умирает молодым.
